Nach den Mitschnitten von QDup mit Fort Knox Five und den Funk Hunters folgt heute der Auftritt von Slynk, dem laut Selbstbezeichung „Funkiest DJ on the Planet“. Das ist wahrscheinlich eine aus Marketinggründen ein klitzekleines Quentchen übertriebene Aussage, die ich ihm trotzdem gerne glaube, denn wie Slynk dieses Jahr den Fractal-Forest-Floor des Shambhala-Festivals abgerissen hat ist funky as hell, knackt obenrum vom drucksvollsten und schiebt untenrum die Eingeweide durcheinander. Was für ein Brett! Anfangs täuscht es zunächst ein klassisches Boom-Bap-Set an, aber Slynk dreht recht bald den Wobble auf und dann rappelt es aber im Karton. Gute Güte!
