In den letzten Jahren habe ich viele hervorragende Plattensammler, Compiler und musikalische Perlentaucher kennengelernt, aber Bærnd Anders gehört definitiv zu den größten Musiknerds, mit denen ich jemals DJ-Kanzel und Abende geteilt habe. Für seinen Sunday Joint hat Herr Anders Musikkassetten vorgespult, Staub von Platten geblasen und überrascht uns mit einem exquisitem, wie rarem Sound. Irgendwo zwischen Kraut-Rock, Proto-Electronica und internationalen Sonderbarkeiten im besten und psychedelischsten Sinne. Ganz großes Mischkassetten-Kino, mein Lieber!

Über Bærnd Anders

Bærnd Anders was born in Hamburg almost 30 years ago. Raised on a strict diet of krautrock and early electronics by his music-mad, danish father, he soon began taping songs from radio shows and LP´s. Bærnd Anders likes to play vinyl and once in a blue moon like in this mix here, he also uses old and dusty tapes. In this mix, you can expect stuff you probably didn´t hear before – relaxed lo-fi psychedelica, library tunes and kind-of new-age hippie kitsch in order to bring your consciousness to a higher ( and more relaxed ) level.
He made his first musical moves on odd wedding partys on the outskirts of his hometown, playing Bernhard Brink records and related. He still counts these memories to his personal, musical highlights. Bærnd Anders has been a record collector for most of his life and a DJ for some of his life. A perfect Sunday for most of the people is about rest and recuperation. However, he likes to go out and execute Sunday parties called Wet Delights with his mate and halftime DJ partner Wahid Paradis.
You can find him playing in and around Berlin, in clubs like Griessmühle, Salon – Zur Wilden Renate etc. He is also a regular at the infamous and much loved disco festival Camp Cosmic.
